TNPSC Typist Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Must possess a Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC).
- Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting:
- Higher/Senior Grade in Tamil and English, or
- Higher/Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/Junior Grade in English, or
- Higher/Senior Grade in English and Lower/Junior Grade in Tamil.
- A Certificate Course in Computer Office Automation from the Technical Education Department of Tamil Nadu is required.
Age Limit:
- Candidates must be between 18 to 32 years as of July 1, 2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
TNPSC Typist Recruitment Selection Process
- A single-stage written examination conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
- The exam consists of two parts:
- Part A: Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test (100 questions, 150 marks).
- Part B: General Studies, Aptitude, and Mental Ability Test (100 questions, 150 marks).
- Candidates must secure at least 60 marks in Part A to qualify for Part B evaluation.
