DEPARTMENT
CIVIL ENGG. DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering at BMCT,With high quality technical manpower needed by industry, R&D organizations, and academic institutions. The Civil and Environmental Engineering has a distinguished history and a tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and service. The School currently offers premier educational and research programs in three broad intellectual areas: Civil Infrastructure, Environment, and Engineering Systems and Management.

Students in the undergraduate program have the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas such as civil infrastructure, transportation engineering, environmental fluid mechanics/hydrology/water resources, or plan a more general civil engineering curriculum.
MECHANICAL ENGG. DEPARTMENT

Bmct The manufacturing sector of an economy is varied and robust. As a mechanical or manufacturing engineering technology major, you will learn how to lead and work in a manufacturing setting. From planning a production process, to modifying a product, to solving problems, you will experience manufacturing from many perspectives.
COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGG. DEPARTMENT
Computer Engineering Technology students share many common first-semester courses with the Electrical Engineering Technology students. This first semester provides students with a firm base in fundamental principles. Subsequent semesters’ offerings stress a systems approach, with students investigating computer-based applications from both a hardware and a software perspective. Interfacing computers with their peripherals and network applications are emphasized. Graduates are well prepared for admission to Vermont Tech’s Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering Technology.
ELECTRICAL ENGG. DEPARTMENT
Graduates with the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology program will have the technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in the design, application, installation, manufacturing, operation and/or maintenance of electrical/ electronic systems.

Graduates of the Electrical Engineering Technology program are able to work in any number of challenging positions. As engineering technicians, they may participate in such varied activities as research, development, design, production, or manufacturing of complex electrical, electronic, or electromechanical products.
Electronics And Communication DEPARTMENT
This branch of engineering develops everyday devices such as transistors, integrated circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs) which can be used in computers, MP3 players, cell phones, television to name a few. The discipline deals with electronic devices and software interfaces. The applications are far reaching, right from the indoors of the house to industries. The tasks of the Electronics and Communication engineers are to direct, control and test produce processes a well as to ensure safety, installation and functioning of the various mechanisms..

APPLIED SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
No field is more vital to economic expansion than energy — the ability to generate, store, distribute and utilize energy efficiently. Applied Science meets these challenges with contemporary curriculum and cooperative work assignments highlighted by “green energy” technologies centered on innovative materials and alternative energy sources. You will learn an array of topics including diverse energy production, conversion and storage opportunities covering fossil fuels, nuclear, wind, solar, water, geothermal, biomass and chemical sources. Each presents its own set of technical, environmental and economic challenges. This 21st century degree ensures that graduates have the background and engineering expertise to immediately address today’s and tomorrow’s Applied Science challenges.
